I included Knob Creek, Small Batch in our 2nd Bourbon tasting, I was going to do the Barrel Proof, but that’s 120 proof, and I thought that was a bit much for those not used to high proof Bourbon. Even the small batch is 100 proof! It’s aged 9 years. Water does help ‘soften’ this one. I’m interested to see how it does..
Notes on Knob Creek, from other sites; Knob Creek displays a strong personality, with aromas of roasted nuts and oak, as well as rich, sweet, woody, generous and almost fruity flavours.
It won the 2nd Bourbon tasting, with an 8.0 avg impressive!!
