Old Forester has a large line-up of different Bourbons.  I chose the 1920 Prohibition style (115 proof), in hind sight, maybe I should have chosen the 1910 (which is 93 proof) or the 1897 (100 proof) or the 1870 (90 proof).  The Old Forester line is not extensive in Canada, as it is in the US, so I went with what was around, and was a premium Bourbon.  Unfortunately, at times, it’s a little more of a ‘shot in the dark’ than I’d like it to be..

I have heard the 1910 (93 proof) is more of a dessert Bourbon, which might go over better with this crowd, still the 1920 came in 2nd.

The mash bill on this one is;

72% Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malted Barley
